To serve in worship

Church Board and fellow members of the congregation

• Serve at the communion table for offering/communion.
• Prepare communion table (setup and cleanup) on assigned Sundays.
• Pass offering plates to the congregation.
• Serve communion to the congregation.
• Support the congregation through prayer.
• Provide training and guidance to Junior Deacons
• Assist in development of annual Diaconate budget as requested by Diaconate Chair.
• Serve on any special projects that are determined throughout the year.
• Attend quarterly Diaconate meetings.

• CCSW and NTA seminars and workshops
• Resources supplied by ministry staff

Deacons help ensure a reverent, celebratory experience of the worship of God.
Spiritual gifts of serving, faith and helping.

Grow spiritually as you serve and love the congregation. Know that your position is as old as the Christian faith; ordained and initiated by God through the Bible.
