DCC Participation
It is our distinct pleasure at DCC to
have the opportunity to support
Habitat for Humanity -
South Collin County by supplying
food for the volunteers. Our church will provide lunch for 30 - 35 volunteers
working on the most current project which will be at 1019 G Avenue,
Plano, TX 75074.
The date of our lunch effort will be
Saturday, June 5th.
The Outreach Ministry is looking for
volunteers to help with providing lunch this day. You can help in three
different ways:
1)
Donate food or drinks for the
lunch
2)
Help deliver the food to the build
site and serve it
3)
Help build at the site that day.
Please contact John Prewitt at
jt_prewitt @hotmail.c om
or by phone at
972- 90 0-19 36
to volunteer for any of these options. We can make it happen!!!

Habitat for
Humanity South Collin County
Habitat for Humanity -
South Collin County was founded in 1997 with the mission to build decent,
simple, affordable homes for deserving families, regardless of religion,
race, creed, color, gender or familial status. They are an independent
affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. They serve Plano, Allen,
Trinity Park, Lucas, Wylie, Murphy, Parker, Lowry Crossing, Fairview, Saint
Paul, and the rural areas of South Collin County, Texas.
During a Habitat build,
persons of all races, faiths, and neighborhoods work together toward a
common goal: the completion or rehabilitation of a Habitat homeowner’s
house. This work brings strangers or even co-workers together, who sweat,
pound, lift, carry, hang, and nail the home into place – together. Habitat
for Humanity - South Collin County avoids the use of professionals and power
tools to allow the harmony of hard work to bond people. People who work on a
build together, and then witness the dedication of the house to the
homeowner family, often return again and again for the experience.
This year Habitat for Humanity of
South Collin County will build ten homes with the help of individuals,
organizations, churches, and companies. |
