Prayer Requests
- Steve & Lisa R., friends of Gary B., whose 20-year old son was
killed in a car accident on December 20 in
- Mary Lynn, Gena H.’s mother who recently had surgery,
unfortunately did not get good results from the biopsy. She will be meeting with her surgeon
next week.
- Cruger Ragland, Jan M.’s brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He will be meeting with his surgeon
December 18.
- Mark M. will be having a medical procedure on Friday, December
18.

Young at Heart – TONIGHT
The Young
at Heart Christmas party will be held at Donna and
Youth News
Youth Christmas Party (Jr. and Sr.
High)
When: Sunday December 20 from 4-7 pm
Where: DCC
What: FOOD, FELLOWSHIP, MOVIE, AND GIFT
EXCHANGE
Who: DCC youth and friends, the more
the merrier! (Think about inviting a couple of your
friends.)
If you can,
bring a unisex gift to give, $5.00 max, (we’ll have more on hand if we need
them) AND bring a canned food item to give to our local food pantry!

Christmas Eve Concert & Worship
The annual
DCC Christmas Eve Concert will be at
6 p.m. on December 24th, followed by a candlelight
communion service at 6:30 p.m.
Disciples
Women’s Ministry
Disciples Women’s Ministry will have their next meeting on Tuesday,
January 5 at 7 pm. They will be
discussing the book, “The
Disciples Women’s Ministry is open to all women in the church. Having read the book is not a requirement.

Christmas Eve Concert will be at 6 p.m. on December 24th, followed by 6:30
p.m. candlelight communion service.

Please arrive at 9 am to review "In the Silence, Wondrous Love"
and our Christmas Eve anthem.
(We'll do robes w/ violet stoles.)

Eve worship -- Please arrive at 5:30 pm to warm up. We'll sit with our families, not in loft.
Dress: Christmas festive instead of robes.

Handbells
have completed their Advent season and are on a break, returning in time for
Lent and Easter. Ringers, you have done wonderfully! New members are
welcome to join us when we resume!
DWM
Special Projects
DCC’s
Disciples Women’s Ministry group will be collecting a special offering during
the month of December and into January.
The money collected will be donated to the Heifer International
non-profit organization. The mission of
Heifer is to provide gifts of livestock and training to help families improve
their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. When making a donation, indicate in the memo
section of the check that it is for “DWM Heifer” and place it in the offering
plate.
2010 NTA Leader Event
You won’t
want to miss the 2010 NTA Leader Event scheduled to take place on Saturday,
January 16 at First Christian Church in
A prayer
breakfast kicks off the event at 8:15 am, followed by the keynote speaker. Dozens of workshops will be available throughout
the day, with the event wrapping up at 3:15 pm.

Mid-winter Retreat & Camps
There are a number of NTA sponsored camps and retreats for all age groups
taking place in the new year. Fliers are available in the Atrium along with
all the necessary registration forms.
The Tri-area summer camp dates have been posted in the Youth Room for
those interested. Additional information
will be on the NTA webpage soon.
