Updated Prayer Requests
- Rev. Diane Clark has mitral valve regurgitation which will
eventually require surgery, hopefully not until next year sometime.
- Rosie Lewallen had gall bladder surgery today at Medical Center of
Plano.

updates. A list of ongoing prayer requests appears in our worship bulletin each
Sunday.

Calling all men! Come join us at IHOP (
Summer Reading Group
Disciples Women have a perfect solution for these hot days
of summer! All you have to do is read a good book and then come to
discuss it with a dedicated group of our women! On Tuesday, July 14, at 7:00 pm
at the church, the discussion will center on the book Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin.
There will be light refreshments and a rousing good time for all who attend.

at Heart
The July Young at Heart dinner
get-together will take place on Thursday, July 16 at 6:30 pm at Patrizios. The restaurant is located on the south side

All choirs are on summer
break! Only four Sunday specials remain
unfilled for the summer, so call Laura Young if you want to fill one of the
spots!
Men’s Church Golf League
Cottonwood Creek Golf Club at Los Rios welcomes all DCC men to share your
faith in Christ with other Christians during their Church Golf League on Monday
nights for eight weeks this summer beginning July 31. The format is 4-man scramble and you do not
need the same four players each week. As
long as you have four players to represent your church, your score will be
counted. Each round will be nine holes
starting at 6:00 p.m.
Cost is $50 per team, per week ($12.50/round, per person). It is a great way to get some exercise, meet
other active Christians, improve your game and spread your love of Christ. For more information or to register your

Relief Nursery

Board of Directors invites you to the first annual
Even though there won’t be VBS …
You are invited to come rock at
"Crocodile Dock!" Due to many
factors, we have decided to join forces with FCC Plano this year, and they have
graciously agreed to accommodate DCC and FCCC kids (preschool through grade 5).
Their
Crocodile Dock VBS will take place August 3-7, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Laura Young
will be co-leading the opening and closing groups, so there will be at least
one familiar face. Other DCC members
have offered their time as well. Kids
should wear clothes that are suitable for craft projects and active games. Drop-off is between 6:15 and 6:30 pm at the
