Holy Grounds Coffee Shop

Holy Grounds has looked forward to our “Open” sign lighting up again, new guests arriving, and new activities “on the board.”  Coach Bob Knoll and friend Bill Barker are ready with good games, good food, and plenty of hugs.  They are famous to Holy Grounders.  Friend Dave Gillen, our “divine computer angel” answers many needs from how to turn on the computer to testing the latest batch of popcorn on

hand.  He has a keen hand with a broom too!

Thanks so much!

Dear Members of Disciples Christian Church,

Thank you for your donation of $200.00 to the Plano Food Pantry.  The Plano Food Pantry is grateful to be a recipient of your outreach in the community.

As you know, the Plano Food Pantry is a non-profit organization and operates entirely with volunteers.  Food orders are filled daily, Monday through Friday, throughout the year, with families receiving a week’s supply of food.  Additional weeks of food are supplied as needed.  It is because of support such as yours that the Pantry is able to continue to help those less fortunate in Plano.  Thank you again for your support and generosity.

Sincerely – Sharon Macduff, Director

Dear Friends of CITY House:

On behalf of CITY House, I would like to express our gratitude to you for your donation of $200.00   What a wonderful gesture!  Each year, CITY House serves over 1,000 youths who deal with crisis in their lives and offers programs that assist them during difficult times.  The Emergency Shelter provides safety to children 10 – 17.  The Transitional Living Program provides a long-term shelter for homeless young adults 18 – 21.  Finally, My Friend’s House, still in development, will provide a safe haven for newborns – children nine years of age.  Your partnership with CITY House sends a message of safety, help, and hope to our kids.

Sincerely – Charles M. Wolford, II, MDiv.

Telling the Good News: Online!

If you have not stopped by the DCC website recently, click on over. A significant update was made on Monday, November 12. There are photos of Trunk or Treat. You can access them from snapfish.com. You will need a username and a password, but it only takes a few seconds to get registered. There are 19 photos online from our fall festival, which was Saturday, October 27.

Remember, church leaders can find important documents on the download page.

Also, don't forget to visit the online calendar. It enables you to send yourself reminders of upcoming events, send invitations to friends and colleagues and download the church schedule to your personal computer. You can find all of the church activities, birthdays and anniversaries on that calendar, as well as the scheduled Elders, Deacons and Connectors for each Sunday.

Also, there is a place to submit prayer requests.

For website suggestions, please e-mail the church office.
